I shoot film, tweak pixels and write songs. I live in California, near Santa Barbara. Climbing rocks. Surfing waves. I have a lot of odd cameras, old guitars and loud amps. Sometimes I throw up a mic and make some songs. The last project I released was called Jaws with friends of mine from Lagwagon, RKL and Bad Astronaut. TIVO Series 3 vs. Mac Pro

So I’m yanking a 1/2 hour HD program from my TIVO Series 3 to my Mac Pro via Tivo-to-Go. The file is 8 GB and basically has brought my Mac Pro to its knees. Now, I don’t know a whole lot about video stuff, but it seems to me that my Mac Pro in all its glory should be able to take ANY media from my Tivo box and do WHATEVER with it without missing a beat.

It does not.

That is bullshit.
